How much does private yoga cost in Manila?

Published private yoga prices in Metro Manila start with solo home rates from freelance instructors and rise through studio private classes, while the published corporate benchmark is priced by the hour and sits well above both. What moves a price is the length of the lesson, what is included, travel, and whether the teacher comes to you or you go to a studio.
If you are looking for a private yoga teacher in Metro Manila, the prices you find can look far apart. Mostly, the lessons are not the same thing. Here is what I found published, what changes the price, and where my own private lesson rate sits.

So a solo lesson at home from a freelance instructor was advertised at ₱1,200, a private class at Sunspace at ₱2,000, and a single class at Yogamama at ₱2,500. On the corporate side, Sunspace published ₱10,000 per hour, corporate, which is a useful benchmark for what companies in Manila pay for team yoga.
What changes the price
Length. Lessons run anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half or more. A longer lesson costs more, and it also changes what is possible: time to settle in, to go slowly, and to rest at the end rather than rolling up the mat and leaving.
What is included. Some lessons are yoga alone. Others add hands-on work, breath practice, a guided rest or sound. Ask what happens in the last ten minutes, because that is where lessons differ most.
Travel. A teacher who comes to your home, condo or office spends time in Manila traffic before and after every lesson. Teachers handle that differently. Some fold it into the rate, some add a fee by distance.
Private or studio. In a studio class one teacher is shared between the whole room, so the cost is split. A private lesson, whether at a studio or at home, gives you the teacher’s full attention, and the price reflects that.
Where my private lesson sits
A private lesson with me is ₱4,500 for 90 minutes, at your home, condo or office. That puts it above the other private prices listed here. Here is why.
Time. The lesson is long enough for the whole arc of a practice: arriving, moving, and a proper rest at the end, without watching the clock.
What is included. Every lesson includes a mini massage in savasana, a short hands-on release for the neck and shoulders while you rest, and then sound healing to close.
Where. I teach where you live or work, so there is no studio commute on your side, and there is no travel fee anywhere in Metro Manila. Yoga lessons at home in Makati cost the same as lessons at your condo in BGC, and the same goes for yoga lessons at home in Legaspi Village or lessons at your condo in Rockwell.
Who it is built for. Yin, Vinyasa, postpartum or a first lesson for a complete beginner, at your pace and for your body on that day. If you are unsure which, here is how Yin and Vinyasa differ, and you can read where I trained and how I teach.
If a shorter, simpler class suits you better, a lower price elsewhere may well be the right choice, and that is a perfectly good reason to choose it.
Corporate and team yoga
I do not publish a corporate price, because the headcount, the venue and the format change the work. Every team class, wellness day or event is quoted on inquiry. You can read how corporate inquiries work on their own page.
How to compare two teachers fairly
When you have two prices side by side, ask each teacher the same few questions:
- How long is the lesson, from arrival to finish?
- What happens in it, and is anything added at the end?
- Do you bring mats and props, or do I need my own?
- How is travel charged, if you come to me?
- Can you adapt the lesson for pregnancy, the months after birth, or an injury?
The answers tell you more than the price alone. When you are ready, the pricing page has everything included in my lesson, and you can book a private lesson on Viber.
